November 10, 2007 - Debut Management, Inc. presents Before the Walk- A Stage Play The Story This is the story of a woman who finds what she is looking for and pays a very high price for it. This chronicles her journey before her Christian experience which helps to redirect her path. But is it too late?
Faythe is a schoolteacher who is married to Maxwell Roberts and has two children, fraternal twins Jalen and Jada. Her marriage is beginning to become unraveled. Her husband is clueless to the extent of her unhappiness. He is a good provider and believes that his responsibilities begin and end with going to work and keeping the bills paid. They are not a particularly spiritual couple. Faythe’s high school sweetheart, Kahlil comes to town to tend to a family matter and manages to reunite with Faythe. Although it was never his intention to rekindle their love, he quickly comes to realize that this is the opportunity that he has longed for. His own marriage is failing because his wife refuses to convert to Islam and discovers something new about herself.
Faythe is quickly intrigued by the smooth and handsome Kahlil and finds herself in love with him. He is prepared to marry her if only her husband was not in the picture. Eventually Faythe begins to explore her own spirituality and dedicates her life to Christ. Ultimately she finds that she has to decide between her marriage, her lover and her relationship with God. Her son finds it hard to overcome the price the family pays, Before the Walk.
